Spirituality
Grounded in Psychology

What does that mean?

Many thoughtful, intelligent people feel drawn toward something deeper — but hesitate because they don’t want to abandon their critical thinking, their psychological awareness, or their sense of discernment.

The good news is: you don’t have to.

Psycho-spiritual guidance is an approach that honors both inner experience and psychological insight. It allows you to explore the sacred in a way that is grounded, embodied, and integrated into your real life.

This work draws from depth psychology, contemplative practice, and modern spiritual thinkers such as Carl Jung, Alan Watts, and Pema Chödrön, alongside the enduring wisdom found in traditions associated with figures like the Buddha, Christ, and the Sufi poets.

There is nothing you are required to believe. No dogma to adopt. No identity to perform.

Instead, this is a space to explore what spirituality means to you — and to make sense of experiences that may arise through meditation, profound life transitions, psychedelic journeys, grief, or unexpected moments of clarity and connection.

Why does psycho-spiritual guidance work so well?

Because it honors both mind, body, and the soul.

Traditional talk therapy can help you understand your patterns. Spiritual practice can open profound insight. Somatic healing helps release old trauma. When these three are integrated, real transformation becomes possible.

This approach works by gently accessing the body, the unconscious, and protective parts of the psyche — not forcing change, but allowing deeper layers to soften and reorganize. Old defenses relax, buried grief surfaces safely, and meaning returns.

Is this right for you?

This approach tends to resonate with two groups of people:

1) Thoughtful beginners
Maybe you're curious about meditation or spiritual practice but unsure where to begin. You may identify as secular, agnostic, or simply questioning — yet feel there is more to explore.

2) Experienced seekers or practitioners
You may have been engaged in spiritual practice for years. You’ve read the books, sat the retreats, perhaps worked with plant medicine or other modalities — yet certain emotional patterns or wounds still feel unresolved.

In both cases, the work is about integration. Bringing insight into embodiment. Bringing awareness into relationship. Bringing awakening into everyday life.

What happens in 1-on-1 sessions?

Each person’s path is different. Sessions are tailored to where you are and what feels most supportive at this stage of your journey.

Modalities may include:

  • Meditation and light trance to gently move beneath the thinking mind

  • Parts work (IFS-informed) to understand and unburden protective or wounded aspects of yourself

  • Jungian shadow work and active imagination

  • Integration support following ceremonial or psychedelic experiences

  • Ancestral and intergenerational healing exploration

  • Existential inquiry into meaning, purpose, and identity

  • Ritual-based processes or guided inner journeys when appropriate

The intention is not intensity for its own sake, but depth that feels resourced and grounded.

Sessions are 60 minutes and available via Zoom or in person at my home office in New Orleans.
